Hasbro 80's Logo!

Bob started at Hasbro in 1978 as a Marketing Director of Basic Toys. Prior to that he held positions in the retail industry, which ranged from supermarket management to over twelve years as a retail toy supervisor and toy buyer. In 1980, he established a Boys Toy Division and eventually became Vice President of that group. He was directly responsible for the reintroduction of G.I. Joe as a 3 3/4-inch product in 1982 and “The Transformers” line in 1984. In 1988 he was appointed Senior Vice President of European Marketing, based in London and returned to the U.S. to become Senior V.P. of the new import division of Hasbro in October of 1992.

His career spans more than thirty years, and includes product, marketing and advertising. The toy lines he managed reached the “top ten” status in the toy industry every year from 1980 until he retired. His many successful brands include G.I. Joe, Transformers, Power Rangers soft figures in the U.S. and the Sindy fashion doll and Fantasy games for the Euro mass market. He also has received numerous product recognition awards from American Marketing Association, the International Film and TV Festival, several Telly Awards for TV commercials and personal achievement awards for marketing excellence. Since retiring, he spends his time swimming, traveling the world and creating bronze sculptures.
