BILL RATNER is the voice of Flint (aka Dashiell R. Faireborn, Chief Warrant Officer) in Hasbro’s syndicated TV cartoon mini-series G.I. Joe: The Revenge of Cobra, plus over fifty episodes of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, the animated motion picture G.I. Joe: The Movie, and assorted crossover episodes of Transformers.
Today Bill is one of Hollywood’s premier voiceover talents and a prize-winning storyteller. His personal essays have aired on National Public Radio's Strangers, Good Food, and The Business. His voice is heard on commercials for V-8, H&R Block, Hyundai, ABC-TV, movie trailers for Will Ferrell's The Campaign, MegaMind, Talladega Nights, Johnny Depp’s The Rum Diary, and Jack Kerouac's On The Road.
Bill is the voice of Discovery Channel's Behind Mansion Walls, I Almost Got Away With It, Smithsonian Channel's Air Disasters, Weather Channel's Full Force Nature, computer games Mass Effect I, II, & III as Ambassador Donnel Udina, Grand Theft Auto, Kings Quest. He has reprised his role as Flint on episodes of Robot Chicken, and Family Guy. Bill is an eight-time winner of The Moth Story SLAMS and a Slam storyteller at the National Storytelling Festival, Jonesborough TN. His solo show Voices in My Head: A Lifewas selected Best of the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2012. He is contributing author of Secrets of Voiceover Success (Sentient Press,) a playwright, published essayist, and short story writer. He is celebrating his twentieth year as a volunteer storyteller in Los Angeles Public Schools.
